2nd International Nepali Film Awards (INFA) Set for Grand Celebration in London

The 2nd edition of the International Nepali Film Awards (INFA) 2025 is set to take place in London on September 13, 2025 (Bhadra 28, 2081). Organized by INFA Events UK in collaboration with INFA Nepal and in association with Manu Media Pvt. Ltd., the prestigious event will honor outstanding achievements in the Nepali film industry across 26 categories. 
At a formal ceremony held at Hotel Radisson, Kathmandu, the top five nominees in 17 categories were presented with official nomination certificates. The finalists were selected from films released after Ashar 2081 by a professional jury panel chaired by veteran actress Gauri Malla, alongside members Ramesh Budhathoki and Karun Thapa. The selection process was praised for being fair, transparent, and professionally conducted.
Speaking at the event, Chief Coordinator Manish Karki emphasized that INFA is dedicated to promoting Nepali art, literature, language, and culture globally through cinema. Celebrated film personalities including Nir Shah, Krishna Malla, Jeetu Nepal, Deepa Shree Niraula, Nita Dhungana, Barsha Siwakoti, Diya Maske, and Pushpa Khadka praised the award’s vision and expressed confidence that INFA 2025 will surpass the success and prestige of its inaugural edition. 
This year, the Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to veteran actress Sharmila Malla, honoring her decades-long contribution to Nepali cinema. Her dedication and influence have left a lasting legacy in the industry, making her a deserving recipient of the prestigious recognition. 
The awards ceremony will be held at Greenford Hall, London, and is expected to be a dignified and vibrant international celebration of Nepali cinema. Organizers have assured that this year’s event will be even more elevated, inclusive, and globally appealing than before. 
Sunil Shrestha, CEO of INFA Nepal, reaffirmed his commitment to establishing INFA as a world-class, artist-honoring award platform for the Nepali film industry. Additionally, video messages of support and good wishes were shared from INFA UK CEO Umesh Raj Moktan, and directors Tank Bhattarai, Raj Pandey, and Ashish Raj Panta, expressing excitement and encouragement for the upcoming event.
