Kathmandu, 24 May | 24 Global Poets have received Kazi Nazrul Islam Literary Award. In commemoration of the birth anniversary of the legendary Bengali poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, the Global Writers Academy India, The Daily Global Nation Bangladesh, and The Pencraft Bangladesh honored 24 gifted poets from across the world in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the literary landscape.

The award recipients include Ratan Bhattacharjee, Salome Murro, Gurjeet Kour Ghuman, Alicia M Garcia, Sk Alamgir Hossain, Maria Vittoria, Massimo N.P. Khatiwada, Benupriya Roy, Saeeda Akhtar, Swapnendu Bhaumik, ZeZabek, MarhMark Kayes, Sajib, Rita Boruah, Laxmikanta Dash, Fali Ndreka, Bizury Islam, Bárbara Mercês, Swati Das, Diane Ouverney, Prasanna Mohapatra, Gul Bakhti, Saroj Ojha, and Amar Singh Rimis Brits.

The President of Global Writers Academy India, the Chief Managing Editor of The Daily Global Nation, Dhaka, Bangladesh, and the Executive Director of The Pencraft, Bangladesh Bishwananda Sinha expressed his delight in honoring these talented poets, whose works reflect the spirit and ideals championed by the legendary Kazi Nazrul Islam.

Kazi Nazrul Islam, known as the "Rebel Poet," was a prolific writer who left an indelible mark on Bengali literature and music. His poems, stories, and compositions explored themes of equality, justice, anti-imperialism, humanity, and religious devotion, making him a beloved figure in Bangladesh and beyond.
