Kathmandu. Khagendra Neupane, Secretary of Non-Resident Nepalese Association International Coordinating Council NRNA, has been honored with 'National Service Award 2079'. Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun and Minister of Health and Population Hon'ble Bhawani Prasad Khapung jointly honored Neupane in a grand ceremony on the occasion of Tihar, the second great festival of Hindus organized by Focus Nepal at National theatre Hall Jamal Kathmandu.

Neupane, who was born in Jhapa has been making Malaysia as his career home is active in various fields for the development of Nepal, despite living abroad for the past 2 decades. He is also the chairman of Neupane Bikas Hydropower Company Nepal, which is currently operating AT Security Company in Malaysia and employing more than 1000 Nepalese.

Along with hydropower, Neupane has also invested in travel, banking, and real estate sector in Nepal. Neupane responded that he felt proud to receive the honor through the hands of the Vice President and said that he will continue to do more social work in the future.
