Kathmandu. Businessman Tejendra Sharma Poudel has been appointed as the representative for Nepal of the Global Chamber of Business Leaders. The Board of Global Chamber of Business Leaders has appointed him as a representative for two years.  In the letter of appointment signed by President Dejan Stancer on behalf of the Global Chamber it is disclosed .‘At the Global Chamber of Business Leaders, we announce Tejendra S. Poudel as the newly appointed representative for Nepal', the Global Chamber has stated.

Who is Tejendra S Poudel? 

Tejendra Sharma Poudel is a Senior Leading Entrepreneur, Social Activist, and Businessman, with a history of being involved in the Travel, Tourism, and Aviation sector for more than Thirty years. He has been the Former Managing Director of Mero Air Pvt.Ltd & Mero Travel Pvt. Ltd. Currently, and is a President of a social, non-profit NGO (Non-Governmental Organization), Village Tourism - Nepal (VITOUN) working for the Overall and Sustainable development of Rural Nepal with the Concept of Rural Tourism. 

Tejendra is also President/CEO of Across World Travel Pvt. Ltd., Asia Nepal Holiday Pvt. Ltd. And Across Aviation Service Pvt. Ltd. He has been Serving as an Honorary General Consul of the Nation of Hawai'i (Principality within the United States) for Nepal. He is a Member of HIMANI Trust (A Royal Family Led Organization in Nepal). He is also nominated as a UN SDG Action Campaign Ambassador under WRF (World Roma Federation) for Nepal.

Tejendra has been honored with a special service award by Rt. Hon. Parmanandha Jha, Former Vice-President of Nepal, for his humanitarian activities. He received also a Corona Defense Award 2020 Honoured by Rt. Hon. Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, Former Prime Minister of Nepal, for his contribution during the Covid period. He also was honored with National Artist Tourism Entrepreneur Honor – 2019 for Contribution to Travel and Tourism Business in Nepal, and the Global Empowerment Award 2021 for Global Peace and Sustainability. 

Tejendra was honored by the Former State Minister of Nepa with a National Hero Award.
